Solana Beach Presbyterian Church, located a half-mile from the Pacific Ocean in north county San Diego, has a vision of becoming a growing community of fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
SBPC is seeking a gifted Minister of Children and Families to grow our Children in the love of Christ. This is a non-ordained position.
You dont need skills to surf the Pacific, but you must have a desire to lead a team to teach children to surf the scriptures and understand the Gospel message of Christ. The Minister will develop and implement comprehensive strategies that promote spiritual and relational growth.
The Minister will also provide theological and administrative oversight to children and families, serving an integral role on our leadership team.

Competencies and Spiritual Gifts Required:
SERVANT LEADERSHIP - Demonstrates servant-leadership as a follower of Jesus Christ to supervise volunteers and staff.
TEACHING - Strengthen the body of Christ by teaching sound doctrine in child-relevant ways, empowering them to gain spiritual direction.
ADMINISTRATION AND PLANNING - Organizes resources and people. Mobilizes with plans, goals, priorities, and resources.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT - Using appropriate methods and interpersonal styles to develop, motivate, and guide a team toward success.
COACHING AND ALIGNING OTHERS - Using interpersonal styles to guide staff and volunteers. Sets plans and provides feedback regularly.
INNOVATION - Generates creative ideas and solutions. Tries different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS - Expressing thoughts, feelings, and ideas effectively; presenting ideas appropriately.
In addition, should demonstrate innovative ways to use technology and various other methods of learning, had experience in a mid to large church with direct supervision of childrens ministries, previous teaching in the Reformed tradition. A Masters Degree or relevant experience.
