Job Type: Full-Time
Would you like to change the world like the Apostle Paul?
We are looking for "Tent Makers" to teach conversational English to Koreans students. You dont have to be a teacher, just a native English speaker and of course be willing to let God use you. No matter what your degree is in, this could be where God is calling you. Just like Paul, you will be supporting yourself while ministering to those around you. As a teacher, you will spend time during the week teaching conversational English classes, about 30 hours a week, to students that range from K-12. You will find that you will have many opportunities to share your faith inside and outside of the classroom! Outside of the classroom you could minister to your students and their families, or teach English conversation at a local church to bring people to the church to hear the gospel in their own language. If you get placed near an orphanage you could volunteer to teach English there as an outreach. There maybe other English speaking Christians in your city that you can meet with too. Just remember to be very, very, very flexible and be thankful for what ever God puts in front of you. So that He maybe glorified.
Imagine, you could be on-fire, thriving, living each day in the midst of the good news! This is no ordinary experience! If you want to be challenged and see God move in and through your life, this adventure is for you! Are you passionate about life, your faith, and sharing the love of Jesus? You'll experience travel, culture, language and lots of fun!
We ask for a year commitment. In exchange, you will receive a salary in Korean won (about $2,000 a month), a furnished apartment, airfare, Medical Insurance (you pay half), Severance Pay, 10 days paid vacation and National Holidays off. Again if you have never taught before, that's ok! This is conversational English not a formal English class.
If you are interested, APPLY TODAY. Positions are available now. Please submit your resume, date of birth and picture by e-mail to Chris Ryder at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to talk to me about this opportunity then please call me at 540-622-6383 (east coast time).
In order to be eligible, you are required to be evangelical Christians with a calling from God into worldwide missions, be in good health (lots of walking and stairs) and have a valid passport. Also in order to get a work visa the Korean Government requires that you must have at least a Bachelors degree from a four-year university and be a native English speaker, no exceptions. Since you will be applying for a work visa, I will need three things to start the process: Your resume, date of birth and picture.
We DO NOT require prior teaching experience, as long as applicants are able to demonstrate general academic competence. Our goal is to put quality people on site who are willing to learn, are excited to experience a new culture, and will demonstrate a servant's heart. We are looking for people who will be flexible and adaptable.
