To oversee and manage a complex accounting process for the purpose of enabling the execution of AIMs varied missions programs throughout the world.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (No more than 5 in order of priority)
1. Responsible for the entirety of the day to day accounting process at AIM: A/P, A/R, Fixed Assets, Donor Management, Cash Management, Financial Statement preparation and analysis, etc.
2. Ensure the integrity of accounting information by the implementation effective information gathering processes and a comprehensive month end close process developed in conjunction with AIMs external auditor.
3. Manage a current staff of 6, 2 of which are degreed accountants, in a growing organization.
4. Proactively position Adventures In Missions from an accounting procedures/compliance perspective with respect to changing regulatory and compliance issues as they pertain to non-profits.

Degreed Accounting/Finance Management experience. 5 years experience in a non-profit environment.
Account Analysis, Month End Close, Year End Close, Journal Entries, General Ledger, Financial Statement Preparation/Analysis, Financial Reporting, Budgeting/Forecasting, Bank Reconciliations and Cash Management, Fund Accounting, Project Accounting, Contribution Management, MSWord, MSExcel, MSAccess(helpful). Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge accounting software and Raisers Edge donor management software a plus.
5-10 years management/supervisory experience and the ability to effectively manage people and processes in an environment of trust and cooperation.
