Cedar Crest BFC is a medium size (800 Sunday morning attendees) in the Lehigh Valley, PA. We are a growing church committed to preaching and teaching God's Word as Truth, God-centered Worship, Growth in Christ, Relationship building, and Impacting the world near and far with the Gospel. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus
Christ throughout the Lehigh Valley and among the nations - especially
Unreached People Groups.

With the growth of our church over the past several years, a need has developed for a dedicated Business Administrator to oversee the churchs business affairs including office and maintenance staff supervision, facilities and equipment management, finance management, legal affairs, insurance, and documentation, and volunteer recruiting/coordinating. By effectively administering the business affairs of the church, the Business Administrator frees the pastoral staff from the burden of managing the day-to-day operations, allowing them to focus on their respective areas of ministry.

The responsibilities of the Business Administrator fall into the following categories:

1. Office and Maintenance Staff Supervision
2. Facilities and Equipment Management
3. Human Resources
4. Financial Management
5. Legal Affairs, Insurance, and Documentation
6. Volunteer Coordinator

The Business Administrator will serve in Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church and will be a representative of it. Therefore, the person must have a life and character that is consistent with the teaching, principles and doctrine of the church. This persons life and character must be defined as:

1. A mature, godly Christian
2. A person with a teachable spirit who will work well under the authority and direction of the Elders
3. A person with a discerning and gentle spirit who will lead the office and maintenance staff without "lording" his authority over them
4. A self motivated person with ability to manage without hourly supervision
5. A member and active participant in the life of Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church (if this is not currently the case, this can be pursued during and/or after the job application process)
6. Agreement with the Bible Fellowship Church Faith and Order

Qualifications which are essential to the specific job functions of the Business Administrator are:

1. Experience and success managing people
2. Experience and success managing facilities and equipment
3. Experience and success in accounting and finance management
4. Ability to use computer based financial software
5. Experience and success working in a Christian ministry environment either as paid staff or a dedicated member of a church congregation
6. Excellent organizational skills
7. Excellent communication skills
8. A person who can function well with people and paperwork (or computer work)
9. References from individuals who can substantiate the applicants qualifications

Qualifications which are desirable for the Business Administrator are:

1. Ability to maintain PC/Windows based computers including periodic back-ups, loading software, and troubleshooting problems
2. Experience with financial software such as QuickBooks, Peachtree, etc.
