Go and make disciples of young adults and youth, teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded us. (Our goal here is to reach young adults and their families. For our purposes we are considering young adults as those in their twenties and thirties.)
Plan and implement an outreach to and the nurture of the above age groups.
Develop programs for Sunday school, Wednesday Night and other times during the week that will help achieve the above objective.
Plan and carry out other special activities and events including special outings, fundraisers, community service projects and mission trips.
Faithfully and joyfully carry out other duties as assigned.
Other responsibilities may be added in accordance to the churchs needs as well as the Minister of Outreachs gifts and aspirations.
The Minister of Outreach will be employed by the Session of the church, and is finally accountable to the Session in all matters relating to his/her employment, job activities, duties and job performance.
This person will be a member of the staff of the church and will work under the pastors direction and authority. He/she is responsible to keep the pastor appraised of his/her activities, programs and plans; and to seek guidance and counsel from the pastor as necessary.
This person will maintain a close liaison with the Session and with the Outreach and Nurture Committees. Unless excused he/she will attend the regularly scheduled committee meetings and Session meetings and will report regularly to the Session on his/her activities, programs, progress and problems.
This person shall be a Christian, who loves the Lord, who understands the means of salvation (grace through faith), and who is committed to seeking and doing Gods will as it is revealed in the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.
This person should live a life that is above reproach in accordance with a Biblical standard of morality.
This person should have a love for young adults, youth and children, and a desire to see them come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and to grow in Him.
This person should possess a willingness to do what is needed to help our congregation fulfill the great commission.
This person should have a Baccalaureate or Masters degree.
