Position Summary:


The Accounting Paraprofessional provides general office and bookkeeping support to the Accounting Department and the Corporate Controller. The position is full-time, non-exempt with a work schedule of up to 40 hours/week. The ability to work a consistent schedule is required; Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:30pm.  This position reports to the Corporate Controller.




Support the daily functions of the Company office in a manner that promotes efficiency,

accuracy and professionalism.


Administrative Responsibilities:


- Serve as an ambassador for the Company; 

- Greet and provide customer service;

- Answer telephones and manage the organization’s telephone system; 

- Sort and distribute all daily incoming mail; 

- Assist with document/form creation and file management; 

- Assist with mailings and special projects as needed; 

- Other duties as assigned.


Bookkeeping Responsibilities:



- Enter and manage Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable in M3 Accounting Software.

in a timely and accurate manner;

- Process, mail and track invoices and payments; 

- Record and deliver deposits; 

- Assist with preparing and maintaining payroll information; 

- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations including preparing and/or posting the necessary journal entries to balance the account and alerting the client to old/outstanding items that need to be voided; 

- Responsible for making daily deposits, posting entries and verifying charges; 
- Maintain account of cash reserves; 

- Responsible for preparing and printing checks; 
- Other duties as assigned.





A successful candidate will demonstrate the following: 


- At least two years' prior administrative/bookkeeping experience.

- Ability to handle fiscal information with sensitivity and integrity; 

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); 

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; 

- Ability to meet deadlines while multi-tasking; 

- Ability to work both independently and in a team; 

- Excellent interpersonal skills.
