Job Description:
Position: Administrative Assistant (Full time)

Reports to: Vice President of Development

Provide secretarial and administrative support for the Vice President of Development (1/2 time) and Executive Assistant (1/2 time)

Track all contact with donors in the development database. Accuracy and timeliness essential.
Assist in managing future cultivation strategies through database management system
Run donor reports as necessary
Edit and transcribe correspondence
Generate and assemble proposals and other materials for donor prospects, presentations, events, etc.
Assist the Vice President in tracking goals and objectives
Monthly expense reports
Event planning: including invitations, RSVP, follow-up letters, meals, onsite support, etc.
Management of development mailings
Other duties as assigned

Process gifts, make deposits
Back-up to Financial Admin Assistant
Work with accountant on projects

--General Office--
Assist in event planning
Processing registrations
Preparation and distribution of resources and mailings
Communicating website updates to webmaster.

2-3 years previous administrative work experience supporting multiple people
Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, written, and oral
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask
Excellent proofreading and grammar skills
Self-initiating, problem solver, independent
Able to effectively redirect attention and prioritize tasks
Able to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines with multiple personnel.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office products, mail merges, database entry, and internet research.
