Job Description:
Purpose of Position: To perform bookkeeping and accounting duties and assist in the day-to-day operations of ChinaSource to support the work of a diverse and growing team.

Accountable to: Coordinator of Operations and Services

Accountable for: Accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, administrative assistance, office operations and human resources.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am to 5:30pm Fulltime Salary

Associate or undergraduate degree in accounting or finance; or ability to grasp accounting for a small business.
Creativity in solving problems using available human and material resources.
Flexibility in responding to a variety of needs within a small organization.
Comfortable working with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures
Previous use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access) Outlook and Quickbooks Pro (preferred but can train).
Able to work well with others as well as with standard office equipment and computers.


Process accounts payable invoices for proper approval, coding and input into QuickBooks.
Reconcile accounting records to bank account statements and other source documents.
Maintain current sub-ledgers and workpapers as needed to support journal entries into QuickBooks general ledger functionality.
Work with other staff to provide financial and contribution reports as necessary to help advance ChinaSources ministry.
Prepare reports as needed by management and as required by auditor.
Processes receivables and payables.
Perform miscellaneous research and analysis as needed to maintain accurate accounting records and reports.

Assist the Operations Coordinator in maintaining adequate personnel, systems, and procedures for the smooth functioning of all aspects of financial operations, including compliance with relevant laws and ECFA requirements.
Assist in budget data entry into QuickBooks and other budget reporting as needed to help management have accurate and timely financial information.

Accurately document work duties performed.
Assist in miscellaneous tasks that may arise regarding Human Resources to assist the Operations Coordinator.
Provide suggestions that will better the ministry and work environment.
Create and maintain office procedures to keep work environment running smoothly and efficiently.

Assist in the procurement of goods and services and use of facilities with an eye toward maximizing available resources and reducing costs.
Assist in ChinaSource special events that may arise.
Assist in product fulfillment and customer service as needed.

Assist Development Department by providing relevant financial information as needed.

OTHER DUTIES: as assigned by the Operations Coordinator.
