Job Description:
Today, Evangelical Christian Credit Union (ECCU) is recognized as the largest member-owned financial institution in the nation exclusively serving the commercial financing and cash management needs of evangelical churches, Christian schools, and ministries throughout the country. Additionally, ECCU provides international personal banking services to the ministry-minded stakeholders affiliated with ECCUs member organizations.

Reporting to the Director of Sales - Bay Area Market, the MDO-Relationship Manager partners with the MDO-Cash Management and the MDO-Financing Specialist to work on the sales goals for the Bay Area. The ECCU office will be located in the San Ramon/Pleasanton area, and the territory runs from Sacramento to Salinas. While this is an established and successful territory, there is significant potential to develop stronger and deeper ties with ECCUs existing ministry clients, as well as increasing market share.

As a key member of a market sales team, collaborates with other market sales team members (MDOs) to identify and meet the needs of new and existing ministry clients.
Works independently to assess the ongoing individual needs of each assigned ministry relationship and captures the relationship data in ECCUs Customer Relationship Management system.
Builds relationships with assigned ministries for the purpose of developing an intimacy that will result in providing additional products and services that effectively meet their changing needs

Bachelors degree with an emphasis in business or finance strongly preferred but not required.
Proven track record of direct sales success (3-5 years) with the ability to articulate a thorough understanding of consultative sales process.
Experience in and knowledge of commercial banking or commercial sales.
Demonstrated ability to sell successfully in an environment structured for team selling and cross selling.
Demonstrated consultative sales skills.
Demonstrated commitment to excellence and customer service, with a track record of creating effective relationships, demonstrating the ability to build customer relationships, listen to their customers to hear needs, concerns, etc., and identify new products and services for ECCU evaluation.
Demonstrated ability to function at a high capacity under little supervision or direction.
Demonstrated ability to create and deliver powerful presentations and demonstrations specifically tailored to the audience.
A demonstrated "do what it takes" mentality to create value-added partnerships with customers.
Proficient PC skills and proficiency with software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Most importantly, the MDO--Relationship Manager must exhibit a passion for ministry that is exhibited through the fruits of a living and growing faith in Jesus Christ and a humble and teachable spirit.
