Job Description:
Job Title: Trip Organizer/Office Manager
Report to: Director


1. Footsteps helps to facilitate short term service trips around the world.
2. Footsteps does this by providing training, administrative support, leadership, and planning for these trips.
3. Footsteps needs someone who is able to be consistent helping to organize and manage the office, helping to plan trips, and providing administrative help for Footsteps operations.


- Office management
- General Activities at the Office
- Answering Phones- As the first contact for those calling and/or being introduced to Footsteps, this job provides the initial experience someone has with Footsteps. This includes handling incoming calls, forwarding when necessary, and taking clear messages.
- Acquisition of office supplies
- Financial Management
- Preparing and placing Bank Deposits
- Tracking Donations for individuals on trips
- Tracking Invoices and payments
- Trip Coordination
- Preparing recruiting resources
- Assembling training materials
- Flight planning
- Trip organization
- External Communications
- Oversee mailings
- Follow up phone calls or e-mails
- Assist in preparing of Newsletters
- Special Projects
- Help with fundraising efforts- Dinner Auction, Golf Tournament
- ESL Resource Development
- Work with Volunteers


- Good Organizational Skills
- Good Communication Skills
- Courteous and professional attitude and mannerism
- Comfortable working independently and with groups
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, basic Database, and willingness to learn other applications
- Ability to communicate effectively in high stress situations
- Ability to think creatively and problem solve challenging situations as they arise
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities successfully while maintaining a cheerful and professional attitude and mannerism


- Heart for Missions
- Computer skills in Quark Express, Microsoft Publisher, Filemaker Pro, and website planning and design
- Ability to manage volunteers effectively


- Annual salary is to be determined
- 15 days of personal time per year (combined sick time and vacation starting year two)
- The following days off: January 1 (New Years Day), Third Monday in February (President's Day), Last Monday in May (Memorial Day), July 4 (Independence Day), First Monday in September (Labor Day), Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, December 24th (Christmas Eve), December 25 (Christmas)

Work Hours

- 40+ hours per week (Generally speaking 40 hours per week during off season and significantly more during the busy season- April to August)
- Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (with 1 hour lunch break)
- Time off must be pre-arranged in advance with the Director
