The Business Administration Department of Emmanuel College invites applications for a full-time business faculty member to teach in its Business Administration program beginning with the Fall semester of 2008. Given the nature of the Business Administration program at Emmanuel, applicants should be willing to teach some courses beyond their own specific academic specialty. In addition, the applicant should clearly desire to integrate the Christian faith with student learning. Other duties would include student advising and faculty committee work. Emmanuel is in the early stages of planning for an adult education program in business. The person who fills this position will likely have opportunities to teach adult students and perhaps to assist in the development/oversight of adult education programs.
The candidate must have a Ph.D. in hand by August 2008 in some field of business administration from an accredited institution. A Ph.D. in Management or Marketing is preferred, but all interested and qualified applicants will be considered. The candidate will be required to demonstrate an ability to teach successfully engage students in the learning process. Experience with teaching, developing, and/or administering adult education programs is desirable. The candidate should be a committed Christian who identifies with and adheres to the mission of Emmanuel College.
