General Education with emphasis on English
Barclay College Fall 2008

Position Summary: Provide expertise, instructional services, and leadership for the College's General Education division by teaching undergraduate courses in writing, literature, speech, and some educational classes (children's literature, language arts methods, advanced grammar). This position is an academic staff position with faculty privileges and reports to the Vice President for Academics.

Minimum Qualifications:

Clear, well-articulated Christian testimony and vision for biblically-centered education
Master's degree in English or degree in progress with appropriate experience
Competence in writing.
Agreement with the College's Mission Statement and Statement of Faith
Desire and ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and other members of the campus community.


Approximate $25,500 - 32,500 (nine month contract) depending on degree and previous experience
Excellent employer-paid medical and dental benefits
