Abundant Grace International Fellowship

Abundant Grace is an international, interdenominational congregation of more than 800 persons (including more than 200 children) from more than two dozen different countries who live, work, worship, fellowship and witness in Shanghai, China. Childrens Ministry Director

Position: Full time, 40 hours, salaried Reports to: Senior Pastor

Summary: Provide vision and leadership to overall program development, coordination, implementation, and direction for Children's Sunday School, Nursery, Junior Children's Church and Childrens Church for children ages birth to grade 5.

Nature and Scope of the Position:

Provides spiritual shepherding to key coordinators
Manages programs, curriculum, communications, promotions and scheduling for Childrens Ministry
Ensures the recruitment of adequate number of trained staff, volunteers, and resources to carry out programs
Organizes and supervises the training and ongoing development of paid and volunteer childrens ministry workers
Evaluates the effectiveness of Childrens Ministrys curriculum, staff, volunteers and program
Prepares and administers Childrens Ministrys budget
Develops and implements guidelines, policies and procedures to provide a safe, quality environment for children
Coordinates yearly program calendar
Oversees facility development for Childrens Ministry
Organizes and implements possible special events (Summer Childrens church, camps, retreats, parenting workshops etc)

1. Is a growing Christian, deepening his/her personal relationship with Jesus Christ and modeling this to others. (I Tim. 3:1-13)
2. Desires to see children come to know, love and follow Jesus Christ.
3. Supports AGIFs vision, mission and charter
4. Is willing to become a member of AGIF and be accountable to the church

B) Personal
Desirable Personal Traits - Teachable, team player with strong oral and written communication skills, creative and a self-starter
1. Is dedicated to the development of Gods people in their roles of discipleship,
outreach and leadership.
2. Is a strategic thinker in regards to ministry needs and short and long-term ministry vision.
3. Able to delegate and equip people to do ministry
4. Able to train and motivate
5. Able to develop positive relationships

C) Professional
1. A Bachelors degree in Education, Christian service or related field.
2. Has demonstrated ability to lead and manage a Childrens Ministry
3. Preferably has five years experience in ministry with children.
4. Preferably has Interdenominational and/or Intercultural Children Ministry experience
