The Vice President of Student of Services (VPSS) is responsible to ensure that the institution reaches its enrollment goals as agreed upon jointly by the President, VPSS and Administrative Council (AC). While keeping the entire mission of the seminary in mind, the VPSS also must help the seminary to build an institutional environment that contributes to successful completion of our enrollment goals. This will include:
Working in close cooperation with AC and the VP of Advancement to ensure that the seminary messages are being accurately perceived and positioned with external and internal audiences related to enrollment management.
Providing oversight for a cross-functional department integrating all of student services functions into a comprehensive strategy that ensures a student focus, consistent excellent service and an appropriate positioning the seminary.
Overseeing the process of student services in designing appropriate systems to (1) identify venues where potential students may exist, (2) move people to become potential students, (3) manage the process to move them to become active students, and (4) assist them in the educational experience as they are transformed into effective, committed and loyal alumni.
Building positive relationships with alumni, constituents and publics to ensure that enrollment goals are met.
The VP of Student Services serves at will of and reports directly to the President. The VPSS serves on the Presidents senior leadership team entitled Administrative Council.
Oversight for all divisions within the Student Services department that help people to become potential students and will serve these potential students until they become committed and loyal alumni. These divisions include recruitment, admissions, financial aid, student services, office of registrar, and placement.
Work in close cooperation with the President, AC and Vice President of Advancement to leverage seminarys reputation through marketing and advertising to ensure an accurate and consistent message is being received by all audiences for the sake of enrollment management.
Work with the president, board and faculty to ensure that the accurate reputation and positioning of the seminary occurs with both external and internal audiences.
Qualification: BA/BA (MBA ideal) with personal experience and background in theological training desired. Prior experience at a graduate level institution is helpful (but not required). An added PLUS is a background in marketing and advertising.
