service to the CCU community.
The Technical Support Manager supervises a team of three Technical Support employees by assigning work schedules, prioritizing and assigning work orders, and performing quality assurance for work done by the team. Additional job duties are as follows:
- Purchases hardware and software for the university.
- Supports PCs, printers, phones and classroom technology used throughout the University.
- Offers audio-visual support as needed.
- Provides basic level support for software applications.
- Quickly and effectively handles customer issues.
- Manages assigned IT projects.
The successful candidate will have 2+ years’ recent work experience supervising a team of IT help desk technicians in a Windows network environment (we also support Macs).
The successful candidate will possess excellent time management skills, demonstrate the ability to correctly prioritize issues, find solutions to problems in unfamiliar situations with little or no assistance, have a history of providing exceptional customer
service, and have the ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Windows, wired/wireless networking, printers/copiers, and office productivity systems (Office 20XX). Experience with Active Directory, Symantec Ghost, Cisco VoIP, Active Directory Users
and Computers (ADUC) and KACE work order system is strongly preferred.
The A+ certification from CompTIA (or an equivalent professional certification) is highly desirable.
Previous work experience in a university environment and an undergraduate degree, preferably in a computer technology discipline, are desirable.
