Responsibilities

• Perform general bookkeeping tasks and responsibilities using Peachtree Accounting Software

• Manage company 401(k) plan

• Process, record and reconcile all commissions and fees received

• Reconcile bank and other financial statements

• Process monthly financial reports including Income Statement for review by the CEO

• Process employee reimbursement requests

• Prepare all year-end accounting items (reconciling 1099’s received, preparing 1099’s, etc.) and yearly expense budget

• Assist in corporate tax reporting

 

Qualifications & Requirements

• Possess an advanced understanding of Peachtree Accounting System (or similar accounting software)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration and/or Finance with a minimum of 2 years Accounting experience

• Possess a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel

• Ability to work independently, multitask and prioritize workload

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Desired Abilities and Other Skills

• Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques

• Experience transitioning to a new accounting software program

• Flexible/willing to learn new tasks and add responsibilities

• CPA a plus

• Entrepreneurial and business-minded professional accustomed to wearing many hats
