Information Technology Services is seeking an individual to assist with Windows server configuration and maintenance, consisting of daily management and monitoring of systems, configuration and installation of operating system upgrades, and installation and monitoring of applications on Windows server systems.
Individual will interface with individual faculty and staff on discipline-specific software applications, working to identify and evaluate applications, and provide troubleshooting and problem solving for escalated user support requests.
Requires knowledge equivalent to that gained through completion of a baccalaureate degree in computer science, plus two years of on-the-job Windows Server 2000/2003 systems administration experience. Experience managing Active Directory and group policies is required. Experience with Exchange Server 2003 administration and Windows Server Update Services is desired. Programming and scripting experience desired.
Individual should have the ability to communicate effectively in a professional and confidential manner.
This is a full time, 12 month position.
