Promotions & Marketing Coordinator

Salem Communications is a leading broadcaster of religious programming and informative talk. The company owns and operates commercial radio stations in major markets throughout the United States. Salem Communications in Seattle, Washington is seeking a qualified Promotions & Marketing Coordinator to work with the Salem Seattle Management team for strategic planning for our radio stations.



-Plan promotional events, including set up and breakdown of equipment, provide support and interact with listeners

-Coordinate contests/giveaways.

-Assist with budget and order promotional supplies/giveaways.

-Organize and execute station remotes and events as well as coordinate talent.

-Lead and attend weekly promotions meeting

-Develop and maintain annual Promotions calendar. Create, update and distribute event calendars every week.

-Organize staff meetings and luncheons as well as client parties and meetings.

-Interface with corporate PR department – provide info on station activities/events.

-Arrange trade advertising.

-Design &/or create new forms, flyers, tickets, info sheets, awards, etc…

-Build and maintain active database of churches.

-Assist with maintaining and updating web sites and social media sites.

-Design email blasts and maintain email database using third party software. 

-Assist the GSM and sales team with entry of orders in Traffic Software

-Help maintain company vehicle: Fuel van for events and remotes, keep clean inside and out.

-Provide Reception back-up when needed and other duties as assigned



-A passion for our station formats

-Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Photo Shop, Publisher, and Illustrator.

-Professional Public appearance.

-Must be 21 years of age and  able to operate a company vehicle, have a valid driver’s license.

-Ability to lift 50lbs and able to stand for long periods of time at events and work weekends and evenings.

-Excellent communication and presentation skills.

-Ability to multi-task, have exceptional organization skills.

-Excellent verbal and written skills.

-A team player, high energy and a positive attitude.

-Must be able to work nights and week-ends if needed.

-Knowledge of media and sales experience a plus but for the right candidate, we are willing to provide training in radio ad sales.



Compensation: depends on experience, along with a full benefits package and a positive work environment.
