The Aylward House Manager is responsible for the Aylward House residents and guest needs and all conferences occurring at William Carey International University. Aylward House is one of two resources that provide the income to fund University initiatives. As such this very important position balances profitability with the culture and community of the university. The manager should be an entrepreneurial-minded individual who works exceptionally well alongside other managers to insure efficiency and effectiveness in meeting the WCIUs organizational goals.
Maintain the community atmosphere of Aylward by ensuring that there is a good fit between new residents and the values of the Aylward community.
Ensure that Aylward residents live in a safe environment.
Market Aylward to both conference and resident clientele to meet budgeted occupancy levels.
Manage operations to meet budgeted profit levels.
The scheduling and supervision of all university custodial personnel including those outside of Aylward.
The scheduling and supervision of all conferences held at WCIU.
Bachelors Degree preferred.
3-5 years of hospitality management experience.
Marketing and/or sales experience
Creative self-starter who enjoys working with diverse nationalities and personalities.
Proven track record of improving operational performance.
People person who is outcomes focused and detail oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills commensurate with the need to work closely with prospects, staff and management team.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Strong work ethic, unquestioned reputation for honesty and integrity.
Ability to problem solve independently and with others.
Effectively work independently as well as with others.
