Job Description:
The Sr Director, Church & Clergy position exists to facilitate the spiritual renewal and restoration of pastors, chaplains, missionaries and other ministries and their families by providing resources to help them better manage their time, finances and family. In addition, the office serves as a catalyst for renewal in the local church.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Works with and assists in the following under the supervision of the Church and Clergy Vice President:

-Interfaces and interacts with pastoral ministry team regarding specific ministries and programs for clergy worldwide

-Develops proactive programs for seminary and Bible school students

-Facilitates outreach to missionary families (US and Canada), stationed in world areas and those families involved in re-entry

-Facilitates outreach to Asian American pastors in US and Canada

-Facilitates outreach to younger generation of pastors

-Oversees the development of resources for pastors, chaplains, missionaries, and other ministries to use in management of time, family, and finances through Pastor-to-Pastor, The Pastors Weekly Briefing, and pastors magazine insert in FOF magazine

-Oversees staff that provide counseling to pastors, chaplains, missionaries, and other ministries by mail, email, telephone, and the Pastoral Care Line

-Oversees the staff that provides outreach to African American clergy

-Oversees organization and conducts pastoral seminars and clergy couples conferences across the United States

-Liasion with the Church Strategy project and other Focus departments that impact church and clergy.

-Selects, develops, motivates, supervises, and evaluates staff

-Oversees preparation of annual budget; controls costs to budget

-Participates in Impact Update meetings

-Assists in training pastors and laymen in foreign lands in conjunction with the International Division

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

-Provides in-house counseling to FOF employees as appropriate -Performs sacerdotal functions -Responds to broadcast generated inquires -Coordinates promotional appearances on FOF network stations -Performs other duties as assigned

Managerial Breadth/Scope of Job:

-Manages a staff of approximately 20 employees

Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

-Office environment -Extensive travel throughout the U.S. (40% of time) involving lifting, carrying, and pulling of luggage and materials -Continuous exposure to intense emotional situations

Personal Characteristics:



-Master of Ministry -10 + years experience as a pastor with extensive experience in staff management and church finances (or related equivalent experience) -In-depth knowledge of FOF mission, philosophy, values, and objectives -Thorough understanding of political, social, and cultural issues that impact the family

Skills, Abilities and Special Talents/Gifts:

-Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and tactfully, both verbal and written, to all organizational levels -Excellent interpersonal skills -Highly polished verbal skills: clarity of expression, good organization of thoughts, and effective articulation -Ability to develop and maintain a team environment -Well-developed social skills -Ability to work through others to accomplish objectives -Ability to apply logic, rational thinking, intuition, past experience and discernment in innovative ways to analyze situations, solve problems and make decisions -Excellent, creative problem solving skills -Good analytical skills in order to extract and verify data and draw conclusions -Strong analytical ability based on logical thought processes -Ability to counsel -Ability to resolve conflict, disagreements, and misunderstandings -Ability to effectively and tactfully interface with all forms of the media
