General Purpose/Summary Statement:
The Vice President, Community Impact Outreach (CIO) position exists to provide strategic and tactical leadership over the entire Community Impact Outreach function, which includes channel management, program strategy, and church outreach. Responsibilities also include global oversight of CIO programs.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Provides executive leadership and strategy over all areas of Community Impact Outreach " which has the core responsibility of finding and nurturing a global group of partners (individuals) who want to partner with Focus on the Family to impacting families within their communities, and in essence, become an extension of Focus on the Family at a local level

Is responsible for creating strategy and structure for acquiring, equipping and managing of a worldwide network of impact partners, family champions, and volunteers, as well as executive oversight to the CIO program strategy. These impact partners, family champions, and volunteers are responsible for ministering (training and equipping) directly to end constituents (using Focus on the Family content) at the local level

Is responsible for executive leadership over developing a highly scaleable channel management model that can develop and nurture relationships with all channel partners, including hundreds of thousands of impact partners, tens of thousands of volunteers, and tens of thousands of family champions within churches

Provides executive leadership over program strategy, program delivery, and channel equipping functions. This includes integrating needs of channel partners into content development and delivery processes, determining which programs should be run through which channels, and developing and managing the process to effectively equip all channel partners

Is responsible for executive leadership over development of community alliance partnerships (3rd party organizations that have a network of people that we can leverage)

Is responsible for providing executive oversight of Focus on the Family Church Strategy including the development, care, and feeding of a regionally based church equipping channel " called the family champion network (which include regional directors, district managers and family champions)

Provides oversight over market research, strategic planning, annual planning and budgeting

Is responsible for managing the CIO P&L, monthly reporting, and quarterly updates for Board of Directors

Frequently interfaces with Executive Committee, existing and potential constituents, and occasional interaction with the Focus on the Family Board of Directors

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs other duties as assigned

Managerial Breadth/Scope of Job:

Leads team of 15 " 20 employees encompassing all functions within CIO including market strategy, program strategy, program delivery, channel equipping, channel development, channel management, church outreach and community alliances

Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred 10+ years overall experience, 7-10 years specific experience directly related to job functions Significant experience in developing, building and managing channels, networks and business to business relationships Specific experience at the executive level, building strategic plans, and interacting with senior executives Demonstrated experience in successful implementations of business plans " specifically in implementing a channel development plan Must be able to think globally and demonstrate global experience Specific experience in running a large-scale channel delivery model Product marketing and/or product management experience Must have 5+ years in developing and managing strategic plans Must have managed medium to large teams Must understand the concept of CRM and ideally will have implemented a CRM process within an organization Experience in owning and managing a divisional P&L Demonstrated experience in working with volunteers Demonstrated experience in some customer support capacity

Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:

Highly competent in business and marketing strategy development with regards to relationship marketing and integrated marketing Specific experience in channel development and channel management Strong executive and team management skills with the ability to define objectives and lead a team to develop and carry out strategy Able to work on multiple assignments at once (strategic and tactical), recruiting the appropriate resources to support the process Ability to cast vision and engage others Ability to create something new " design and implement something from scratch Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills Passion for customer care

Stewardship Requirements:

Manages multi-million dollar budget; must understand a donor-based budgeting system and have a passion for protecting donor provided funds

Starting pay for this positions is $6,700/mo.
