Mental Health Technician

To provide direct patient care in a supportive and empathic manner to ensure a safe,
Christian-growth oriented environment by employing biblically-based, Christ-centered principles and concepts
to the treatment process. Provide support and monitor patients during meals. Provide bathroom monitoring as
appropriate. Monitor patients meals. Report and document patient behaviors, occurrences and conditions to
appropriate staff members. Communicates effectively with patients and staff.
Any one of the following:
A) BA in a field related to behavioral health; or
B) BA in a non-behavioral health field PLUS one year behavioral health work
C) AA in any field PLUS two years behavioral health work experience; or
D) High school diploma PLUS four years behavioral health work experience; or
E) High school diploma PLUS 18 credit hours of post-high school education in a
field related to behavioral health PLUS two years behavioral health work
2. Previous group experience preferred.
3. One to two years of experience in child/adolescent population, if applicable.
4. Eligible to obtain and maintain an Arizona driver's license.
5. Obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid and Behavior Management Training.
