Job Description:


General Responsibility

I. Develop an overall funding strategy including local church mission giving and other income streams (i.e. individual donors, fund drives, partner churches, grants, etc.) to support future conference ministries.

Specific Responsibilities

I. Local church giving
A. Develop and implement a strategy to increase local church giving including presentation of conference ministries to pastors and local church leaders.
B. Develop and maintain network of key giving churches to be a resource regarding giving opportunities within the region.

II. Donor Development
A. Develop a donor base with ongoing analysis and assessment of gift potential, areas of interest, needs and style of approach.
B. Develop prospect strategy to inform and involve potential donors.
C. Cultivate donors by laying the groundwork for future involvement by implementing a communication strategy, timely impact reporting and appreciation strategy as applicable.
D. Hold education sessions with prospects and donors showing appreciation for their partnership
with the conference and updating them on what their past giving has accomplished.

III. Major Fund Drive
A. Oversee implementation of the fund drive currently in process.
B. Implement strategy for major donor giving for the fund drive.

IV. Other income sources
A. Define and develop new funding sources (i.e. grant monies)
B. Work in harmony with denominational representatives to encourage planned giving.

V. General
A. Integrate the culture of philanthropy and Christian values into the giving activities of the region.
B. Serve as representative of the conference as assigned.
