(Early Childhood Development, Before and After School childcare,
Resident Camp, Day Camp and Teens)

The YMCA of Columbia Willamette seeks a dynamic professional to grow youth programs with an emphasis on childcare, resident camp and teen programming. This position will develop and maintain relationships with staff, volunteers, school districts, community leaders and other childcare networks. This position directly supervises 7 professional FT staff with an annual budget of $14 million. Currently there are 16 child development centers, resident camp, teen programming and 48 before and after school childcare sites.

Our growing association raises over $1 million a year in our annual campaign. The successful candidate will present a demonstrated ability to inspire Volunteers, Staff, Civic and Business Leaders in an effort to advance the Y Purpose and Mission. The ideal candidate will have progressive and successful experience in managing and growing youth programs. Successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and strong interpersonal skills. This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills. An ability to relate effectively to key volunteers, community leaders and YMCA senior management, YMCA branch management and other executive staff in a positive, professional manner is expected. A high tolerance for pressure, meeting deadlines, handling conflicts, and multiple responsibilities are essential. Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred and eight years of progressively more responsible positions in the childcare or related field. YMCA Senior Director Certification preferred.
