Vanderbloemen Search Group is thrilled to launch our second search for Park Community Church. It's an honor to serve their ministry and community.

The story of Park Community Church (Park) stands as a powerful illustration of God’s faithfulness, provision, and grace. For over 25 years, the Lord has taken their story and transformed it into a way of telling His story. Park Community Church believes that as part of seeing the city renewed, God has called Park to see 1% of the city of Chicago (27,000 people) connected into Biblical community at Park. In addition, Park Community Church also believes that God has called them to work together with the Chicago Partnership for Church Planting (CPCP) and other strategic partners to see at least one vibrant, Gospel-centered church in every one of Chicago's 277 micro-neighborhoods. Park Community Church is intentional about reaching Chicago for Jesus.

Park is hiring a Controller who will be responsible for advising and supporting the Director of Operations and Executive Pastor from a fiscal leadership perspective. The Controller has the opportunity to influence strategy and be involved in non-traditional activities, such as campus property development, acquisition, and capital stewardship campaigns. The Controller will be responsible for all financial areas of the organization, including finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, reporting, financial services, contract management, and compliance. The position is strongly oriented toward establishing and maintaining a consultative, strategic business partner role with the Executive Pastor and the Financial Oversight Committee. The Controller will ensure good stewardship of Park’s resources, protect the financial integrity of Park, and assist in the preparation for the financial future of Park.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university and will also have a CPA certification (or be in the process of obtaining a CPA certification). The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for details and must be a talented manager and leader, as well as a planner who anticipates barriers and forecasts future needs.

Upscale shopping along the Magnificent Mile and State Street, thousands of restaurants, as well as Chicago's eminent architecture, continue to draw tourists. The city is the United States' third-largest convention destination. A 2011 study by Walk Score ranked Chicago the fourth most walkable of fifty largest cities in the United States.
