Christian School Director K-12
International Christian School of Cascais, Portugal
Cascais, , Puerto Rico
Date Posted: 04/23/2007
Job Type: Full-Time
INTERNATIONALCHRISTIAN SCHOOL OF CASCAIS
FULL TIME POSITION
The International Christian School of Cascais (ICSC), Portugal, is a school of about 60 students and is a ministry of the International Christian Church of Cascais, near Lisbon. It is an English-speaking school that uses the American curriculum and is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International. Emphasis is placed on providing children with a sound Christian foundation and on developing spiritual, academic, social and physical growth.
The School attracts, amongst others, missionary children and families working with NATO which has a base midway between Cascais and Lisbon. The ratio of students to teachers is approximately nine to one.
To work in the international community of greater Lisbon can be seen as a challenge but is also both stimulating and rewarding. To bring a Christ-centred education to Portugal, with the idea of creating a model Christian school which may be followed by others, is an opportunity to further God's kingdom here on earth.
The Director of ICSC is responsible for the daily administration and direction of the school and reports to the School Board. The Director prepares and submits an annual budget for the school to the School Board and works closely with the board to implement it. The Director may be required to do some teaching. We would consider making an appointment on an interim basis for one year.
