International Justice Mission (IJM) is a Christian agency, led by human rights professionals, that helps people suffering injustice and oppression who cannot rely on local authorities for relief. The agency documents and monitors conditions of abuse and oppression, educates the church and public about the abuses, and mobilizes intervention on behalf of the victims.
International Justice Mission is a dynamic and highly professional organization that has experienced high-speed growth and an ever-increasing platform of work. We are seeking qualified and energetic professionals to provide top-level administrative support to senior IJM executives. The successful candidates will be effective problem-solvers with experience providing support in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact between the executive and the public, or other members of IJM;
Maintain calendar and current task list for the executive and ensure appropriate follow-up;
Ensure excellence in all communication from the office of the executive, including email, hard-copy correspondence, briefing binders, and telephonic communication;
Draft correspondence including letters, proposals and reports;
Receive, open and distribute mail for the executive and identify and refer matters to appropriate staff members;
Assist with reporting to IJM leadership and Board members;
Compile and organize documentation for meetings, projects, publications and office archives;
Prepare and maintain a variety of records, files, including information of a confidential nature;
Arrange and schedule a variety of meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure appropriate follow-up as deemed necessary;
Arrange travel for the executive, including logistical preparation, materials preparation and appropriate follow-up;
Process a variety of travel and expense forms;
Monitor incoming phone calls for the executive;
Assist the executive with general administrative needs, including data entry and preparation and execution of mailings;
Assist in the overall organization and systemizing of the departmental practices and efforts; and
Perform other related duties and assigned.
Skills and Experience:
At least two years experience providing top-level administrative support in a fast-paced, professional environment;
Exceptional ability in written and oral communications;
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 2000;
Superior administrative capacity to manage a large number of projects and tasks simultaneously and to complete them with minimal oversight;
Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships; and
Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain databases.
Mature orthodox Christian faith;
Ability to develop a genuine passion for IJM;
Professional demeanor and written and oral communications;
Effective as a team player;
Self-starter with strong initiative;
Adept at providing quality customer-service to a variety of constituencies;
Meticulous attention to detail;
Ability to prioritize; and
Adept at creative problem solving.
