Operation Christmas Child is a dynamic, fast-paced ministry of Samaritan's Purse that transforms lives around the world through the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We praise God for his provision of growth in the ministry of Samaritan's Purse and Operation Christmas Child and the goal is to continue to take the ministry to the next level by retaining current partners and growing the scope and reach across the country, primarily through the development of leader volunteers. Samaritan's Purse is seeking an individual ready for a challenge, with experience managing and implementing projects on a national level.


We are searching for a Content Development and Volunteer Communication Assistant Manager who can quickly and efficiently develop, as well as edit original content for online and print communication pieces specifically for our year-round volunteer program. This position would be responsible for developing and implementing annual initiatives for both long and short term Volunteers, taking them from concept to deliverable. Some of these projects include developing and improving content for our annual national conference content and shoebox processing center registration volunteer experience.


* Proven experience writing, editing and project management;
* Strong written and verbal communications skills;
* Strong organizational skills and ability to successfully manage multiple projects;
* Self-starter who takes initiative on reaching goals;
* Strong Christian character and support of the mission and objectives of Samaritan's Purse.


Our ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Twelve credit hours of college-level biblical studies strongly preferred. Strong foundation in writing, editing and project management, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills also required. Attention to detail and flexibility to adapt in a dynamic work environment a must.
