SALEM CHRISTIAN HOMES, INC.

JOB TITLE: DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY LIVING & PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

JOB DESCRIPTION: Staff member whose primary responsibility is to oversee programming & staff training in assigned Salem community care homes for adults who have developmental disabilities.

SALARY: Exempt Salary Position

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the program and staff training of assigned community care homes in Chino, Ontario & Upland.
Observe and be available to assist with resident training objectives in the community care homes.
Attend annual IPP/IDT conferences as requested.
Facilitate regular meetings with Home Administrators.
Oversee & approve staff schedules in the community care homes.
Assist Administrators in training of relief & support staff as per their job descriptions.
Relieve staff if time and circumstances require.
Assist Administrators in complying with requirements for all agencies.
Assist in admissions, intake assessments &discharge planning of residents in the community care homes.
Assist CEO in matters related to Community Care Licensing and Inland Regional Center.
Train, supervise, schedule and evaluate Home Administrators.
Participate in Directors meetings.
Ensure Quality Assurance in the community care homes.
Complete special assignments and projects as requested by CEO.





Experience: Prefer 2 years experience in leadership position in Human Services Field and one or more years experience in a facility with individuals who have developmental disabilities.

Personal: Must be able and willing to support the philosophy of service indicated in the Salem Christian Homes Employee Handbook.

Must be able to provide leadership and staff supervision. Must
be able to independently follow through with duties in a
professional manner.


Physical / Mental: Close vision, hearing/listening; clear simple speech; smelling; walking; sitting; running; reaching; touching (hand finger dexterity); carrying (40 lbs.); pushing; kneeling; stooping; bending; squatting; flexibility (upper/lower body); reading and writing proper English; perception/comprehensive judgment; decision making; analyzing; memorization.

Prefer a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in or relating to Administration, Behavioral Science or Management of Human Services. Must have or be willing to obtain DSP I & II Certification, and complete IRC & CCL Administrator training, including HIV/TB training. Must have CPR & First Aid Certificates and valid drivers license. Must meet all Title 17 and 22 requirements for age and fingerprint clearance.
