Job title:                   Office Manager


SITE lOCATION:     3435 Birchwood Lane, San Jose, CA 95132

Work Hours:            Monday – Friday (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

Date Required:        Immediately



This position is supervised by the Principal.



¨        A commitment to Jesus Christ as Personal Savior

¨        Bachelor’s degree preferred.

¨        Two or more years of secretarial and/or administrative experience

¨        Technology skills: typing, word processing, data entry and retrieval, editing, and proofreading skills

¨        Knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling and language usage

¨        Ability to communicate accurately, both verbally and in writing

¨        Ability to present the school to the public in a pleasant positive manner

¨        Professionalism in dress and manner

¨        Desire to learn new skills as required and to sustain professional growth

¨        Ability to maintain a positive atmosphere in the office and to work in a fast paced environment with calmness and efficiency.



¨       Supervise the School Secretary

¨       Oversee the maintenance of the cumulative records

¨       Maintain student emergency binders

¨       Maintain the school office budget

¨       Update office procedures

¨       Update disaster procedures

¨       Assist in selection of new office equipment as needed

¨       Answer inquiries about the school and conduct school tours

¨       Maintain a professional, efficient, and helpful atmosphere in the office

¨       Manage projects such as school events, pictures, health screening, assemblies, etc.

¨       Communicate special needs for school events with the director of operations

¨       Send relevant information to the business office, especially for field trips, outdoor education, and athletics

¨       Maintain first aid and emergency supplies in the office

¨       Render first aid to students and staff as needed

¨       Supervise maintenance of kitchen supplies and soda machine

¨       Complete projects as assigned by the principal

¨       Coordinate new student testing and assist the Enrollment and Marketing Manager in enrollment processes.

¨       Coordinate after school schedule and classes

¨       Schedule school fire-drills and record participation numbers as required by law
