As our Family-Teaching Couple you will provide direct care for 6 - 8 at-risk youth through creating a safe and loving family style living environment.  Living on-site in a Boys Town Family home, together you will be provide youth with moral, spiritual, and educational development needed for future success.  You will be trained in the Boys Town Model to guide and teach the youth appropriate skills and behavior.  You are also provided with an Assistant Family Teacher as well as several other levels of staff support to assist with the home.  You will also provide crisis intervention to the youth in care.  You will coordinate and assist house activities such as operating the daily schedule for the home, family meetings, chores, meals, household upkeep and youth transportation needs. 



  • To be at least 21 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • High energy and ability to motivate high risk youth and serve as a positive role model
  • Ability to maintain professional behavior by keeping appropriate boundaries with youth and staff
  • Ability to build trust and respect with high-risk youth
  • Ability to work independently, with a spirit of reaching for excellence.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work a wide array of hours, which will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays
