The Position - Digital Marketer

Our client, Church Rocket (The Rocket Company), exists to serve church leaders around the world. Without an excellent digital marketer, they fail to reach pastors that need their coaching and help. This position identifies and executes creative and highly measurable digital traffic campaigns based on the Sales and Marketing calendar to reach more pastors.

What will it take to do this job well? 
It starts with a passion to reach and impact people. You have to believe in the products our client delivers to pastors and recognize the practical impact those products can have on each person those pastors serve. You have to LOVE the digital marketing world- creating ads that will cast vision for products and moving people to action by those ads through multiple online mediums. You have to love tracking data and seeing how those ads have converted into action. You have to love to take initiative- you want a goal and love to think for creative ways to hit those goals. You are willing to take ownership of what you do each and everyday. Are you ready?
How to be successful in this position:
  • Research target audiences
  • Devise strategies to drive online traffic to the company website/landing pages
  • Track conversion rates and make improvements to campaign ads
  • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns
  • Utilize a range of techniques including paid search, SEO and PPC
  • Analyze traffic and provide accurate and on-time reporting
  • Evaluate, select and monitor the most relevant digital traffic sources for Church Rocket
  • Create and maintain an up-to-date digital traffic plan, reviewing and optimizing it constantly for effectiveness
  • Manage the advertising budget allotted and ensure email opt-in conversions
  • Work directly with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing to understand monthly/quarterly sales objectives that affect strategic sales goals
  • Be proficient with Facebook, Twitter and other advertising mediums
  • Work within their CRM InfusionSoft to create campaigns and sequences as well as examine analytics/conversions

Goals and Expectations for the Digital Marketer: 


Strategy: Develop ongoing and special event campaigns to generate email opt-in conversion opportunities through cold and warm traffic sales funnels.


Leadership: Lead the sales agenda for recurring revenue sales every month by utilizing appropriate team members and resources to reach goals. 


Metrics: Provide timely and accurate analysis of key data, including conversion rates, cost per acquisition, R.O.I., advertising data, etc. to Vice President of Sales and Marketing.


Decision-Making: Provide strategic input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting recurring revenue sales goals.


Innovation: Ability to create new automated marketing ideas that can lead to increased recurring revenue sales. This can include optimizing email copy, sequence structure, integration with third party applications and more.

Accountability is Key
We are a results-based team. The person in this position will be measured using these metrics and is responsible for ensuring these metrics are met:
  • Timely reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing
  • Meeting monthly email opt-in goals
  • Meeting proper ROI for campaigns by attracting the right audience
Experience and Qualifications 
Formal education is not a predetermining factor for the selection of a new Digital Marketer. However, it is likely that they will hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and have these necessary skills for success in this position.
Has 2+ years experience in the following:
  • Social Media Advertising such as Facebook and Twitter
  • Landing page, registration page and opt-in form creation
  • Effecting marketing and copy writing
  • Strategic Planning and Implementation
