Job Title: Sales Coordinator

Job Location: Fort Washington, PA

Reports to: Publisher

Primary Responsibility:


Increase the sales of CLC Publications titles in the USA and around the world.  This position will have an outward focus and involve significant customer contact activity.


Please Note: This is an entry-level position. Ideal for a highly-motivated recent college graduate

             Passion or interest in Christian Literature



             Making regular contact with major accounts to present new CLC titles and to create back list promotions

             Making regular contact with domestic and international bookstore buyers, ministries and to make them aware of sales promotions and new titles

             Developing new major account customers

             Growing the number of ministries and bookstores that buy directly from CLC Publications

             Attending trade shows and conferences

             Developing creative sales strategies and new sales ideas

             Meeting monthly sales goals

             Maintain sales data in Customer Relationship Management Software

             Following up with potential sales prospects in a timely basis

             Working with the publisher, marketing team, customer service team, and editorial team to develop and implement sales initiatives

             Developing strategic ways to segment and target customers

             Build and implement a social media strategy

             Creatively thinking about ways to grow interaction with CLC customers

             Working with authors to maximize potential sales contacts and channels

             Giving sales feedback to the editorial team on new books in process

             Coaching the customer service team on sales techniques

             Assisting the customer service team as necessary




Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree required. Business, Sales or Marketing is preferred. 

Experience Required: Prior sales experience and familiarity with the Christian literature is preferred. 


Skills and Abilities:


             Excellent written and verbal communication

             Solid Organizational and analytical abilities

             Presentation skills able to present to C-level positions

             Ability to utilize social media for effective communication is desired

             Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

             Ability to speak Spanish is preferred
