Job Description:

Broadcast Chief Engineer will oversee the day to day duties and operations of the Broadcast production environment. Maintain and develop Systems Network that supports broadcast live production and post-productions. This includes Servers, RAID, and Network systems.  Engineer  the  Production environment from studio end to transmission, (the entire air chain). Install and maintain equipment for professional post production facility and remote shoots.  Setup cabling and terminations for equipment as needed for repairs or improvements. Train and mentor junior or fellow engineers and operational staff. Assist in the development of new procedures and directives for the production environment.  

 



Maintenance and development of System Network that support broadcasts production and post-production. Maintaining the Servers & RAID systems for the production environment. Confirming there is ample storage space for weekly recordings and ingest. Maintaining network systems and keeping them up to date on licenses and software/firmware revisions.

Engineering the studio and equipment for productions. This includes; switchers, routers, cameras, audio systems and other television related equipment. They will also be called on to shade cameras during shoots for productions. You will work along with broadcast audio engineers and live production audio engineers.
 
Install and maintain equipment for professional post production facility and remote shoots.
 
Setup cabling and terminations for equipment. This includes running and maintaining all cabling infrastructure. Cabling up remote systems for events on property and remote locations.
 
Train and mentor junior or fellow engineers and operational staff. Setup training sessions for specific equipment, including all of production staff and other engineering staff.

Assist the Engineering Services Director in developing priority equipment replacement and directives for the production environment. Aid in keeping drawings and schematics up to date with changes and revisions.
 
Perform all duties and functions as assigned by the position's immediate supervisor, department head and/or Senior Pastor. Follow all ministry and department policies and procedures to include, but not limited to: work hours, dress and appearance, and church attendance.

 

General Education : Degree in management information systems, or broadcast technology, electronic, telecommunications, or computer engineering is preferred Experience/Training : Minimum five years of professional experience in broadcast engineering
Licenses, Certificates, Registration :
List machines or equipment used regularly in the work or this position. Indicate the frequency with which they are used. Many types of equipment are involved in television process. Knowledge of entire equipment chain from taping to delivery is required
List any special knowledge of equipment, skills and/or abilities required for this position. Good oral and written business communications, negotiation and time management skills Drawing skills - To draw graphical Visio workflow diagrams or CAD schematic drawings Training and mentoring skills B.
