Reports Directly to Director of Student Financial Services
Primary Function/Purpose
The position of Coordinator exists to support all schools and departments regarding financial aid programs, policies, procedures and problems.

Primary Duties
1. Monitors institutional compliance of all Federal, State and Institutional financial aid programs including Federal Pell grants, and State grant programs.
2. Develops and enforces policies and procedures to ensure equitable and fair treatment of all students.
3. Determines student eligibility through needs analysis and verifies applicant data (applicable for students selected by federal programs)
4. Coordinates disbursement of aid to students with Accounts Receivable function to provide for timely posting and accurate reconciliation.
5. Provides for timely flow of cash to the institution from all sources of student financial assistance.
6. Oversees computer operations of the department relating to Financial Aid Packaging, Document Tracking and Aid processing.
7. Maintains close working relationship with Loan Coordinator to ensure smooth operation within the department.

Secondary Duties
1. In directors absence, is responsible for daily activity in the department, as well as day to day decisions not affecting the overall administration or policy of the department.
2. Participates in prospective student and general aid counseling on a regular basis.
3. Participates in all audit and program reviews; resolves any findings to the satisfaction of the audit team.
4. Maintains a positive interaction with all offices of Baptist Bible College and Seminary; communicates relevant regulations and their impact on Institutional practices.
5. Maintains relationships with appropriate professional associations and participates at institutional expense and direction in professional development.
6. Maintains a positive relationship with external social and government agencies.
7. Works with Registrars Office and Informational Services on reporting correct enrollment status to the Clearinghouse (3rd party services for NSLDS)
8. Other duties as assigned.

2. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
3. Strong knowledge of Institutional and outside financial aid computer systems.
4. Obtains spiritual and professional fulfillment from pursuing excellence in the use of skills and gifts.
5. Understands the sensitive nature of personal financial matters, the requirements of the Family Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, and the confidentiality of business carried on in the Office of Student Financial Affairs.
