Business Process Management Specialist- EAA

Provides training, support, and guidance to field offices in order to promote understanding and application of business process management principles and the documentation of global and local business processes. Collaborates with field office, area, regional, and GMC staff in the analysis, development and documentation of best practice business processes. Facilitates collaboration between IT project teams and field offices for the validation, testing, and implementation of automated solutions to business process challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities
Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassions ministry in prayer.
Acts as an advocate for children - raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one's influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
Drives the documentation and modeling, as appropriate, of business processes in a standardized format and in alignment with Compassions global business process management framework.
Provides training and support to field office staff in order to facilitate process documentation and continuous process improvement by creating business process management capabilities in each field office.
Creates and maintains best practice process documents on a region or area basis by applying business process management expertise to field office process documents and collaborating with staff around the world.
Collaborates with the International Program Field Business Analyst and other region or area business process management specialists in the creation and maintenance of global best practice process documents.
Identifies field office automation opportunities, validates automation designs and prototypes, and tests automated solutions in collaboration with IT project teams, field office staff, and other stakeholders.
Provides an interface to field users for information gathering, requirements development, feature prioritization, communication of local and global concerns, validation of designs and prototypes, and field testing of proposed solutions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
A Bachelors degree or equivalent from a college or university, preferably in a business or development discipline.
Strong cross-cultural knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a variety of environments.
At least 2 years business analysis experience, or equivalent interdisciplinary experience that resulted in development of business process management skills.
Preferred experience with automated Business Process Management and/or Workflow solutions.
Preferred knowledge of the Business Process Management environment, including key principles and frameworks, as well as tools used for documenting and modeling processes.
Strong interpersonal, team and communication skills. Ability to present ideas effectively to peers and management in one-on-one and group situations.
Ability to successfully manage his/her own work load with minimal supervision.
Strong ability to solve difficult business and technical problems on his/her own in a variety of areas. Ability to identify steps to take in order to solve problems in unfamiliar areas.
Ability to accurately plan and schedule tasks necessary to successfully accomplish a wider scope project.
Ability to function as a group leader, to give direction to peers and train others as needed, and to lead group projects.
Position requires up to 30% travel, most of which will be international.
