ICS Singapore is recruiting for a Facilities Manager position. This is a 12 month salaried position that will be ideally filled as a NICS missionary. The position requires both administrative and hands-on skills in facility operations and maintenance.
The pay per month in Singapore dollars is S$3300 (approx. $2185 USD). Health insurance is provided. Due to the cost of living in Singapore, some fund raising of support or augmentation with other income is likely to be needed.
The ideal candidate will have a background in operating and maintaining a full service school of 400 or more students and must have an understanding of the dynamics of working in a fast-paced educational environment.
To obtain a Work visa, a minimum of an Associates of Arts degree from an accredited college in a related field is required along with at least 5 years of work experience in a similar environment.
Typical duties include:
Management of on site security contracts
Management of landscape and pest control contracts
Maintaining key/lock systems
Troubleshooting and maintaining photocopy machines and printers
Operation and maintenance of audiovisual equipment
Oversight of Maintenance activities
Implementation of school facility use policies
Ordering of general campus furniture and supplies
Maintaining furniture/fittings inventories
Communicating effectively with staff members
Working with local contractors
Working varied hours including weekends and evenings as necessary
Candidate must be physically qualified to repeatedly move up and down a four story facility without the use of mechanical lift devices. (no elevators)
