Job Description:

Our Mission is to minister the love of Jesus Christ to the Least, the Last, and the Lost.


We are the Orange County serving the least, the last and the lost in our community.  We are looking for a dynamic Christian with experience working in a fast-paced environment.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of the 3 years of experience working as a Safety and Security Specialist or like position.  Temporary housing and drug rehab experience a plus. 


Summary Manages all activities related to global safety and security including planning, organizing and implementing safety and security programs in compliance with state, federal, safety, health and fire codes. Responsible for preventing dangers, accidents and safety hazards within a particular area, such as offices, student campus areas, warehouse and outdoor common areas.

Facilities, Assets & Equipment


Goals: Strong stewardship of donated resources; Provide ready access to needed resources; Minimize waste of donated resources; and Students, volunteers & staff are safe.

  1. Maintain high levels of utilization of assets and equipment & 90% occupancy of facilities.
  2. Manage a maintenance schedule and maintain a high level of maintenance with all facilities, assets and equipment.
  3. Maintain accurate and appropriate levels of supplies and resources.
  4. Carryout and document regular health & safety inspections.

Financial & Human Resources


Goals: Develop and maintain a high performance level for all staff; Staff members fully understand what expectations are placed on them; Maintain and comply with all government and industry standards; Optimize internal and external relationships; Achieve or exceed income forecasts; Reduce expenses without sacrificing outcomes.

  1. Supervises staff and volunteers, including training & coaching.
  2. Perform expense reduction & expense budget management.
  3. Implement and achieve fiscal year income fund raising goals.
  4. Manage friend raising & relationship building internally & externally.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Assess the current condition of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, grounds and other essential facilities and equipment.


Work with CM team to resolve student security concerns by conducting interviews, room searches, reviewing video and performing drug and alcohol screenings. Create a schedule of regular safety and security evaluations of facilities.


Participate in the development of policies and procedures that affect the safe utilization of all areas within the organization


Create, develop, maintain Safety Response Teams for all facilities within the organization. Ensure that proper training is provided to any employee/volunteer/student in compliance with Company policies and procedures, OSHA/CALOSHA and state/federal regulations.


Maintain all OSHA documentation, logs, forums, safety materials and emergency supplies.


Create monitoring systems or programs to detect problems as early as possible.


Initiate interventions to solve problems in the areas of safety and security.


Develop a back-up or alternative system for common security problems such as power/water outage/ shortage.


Maintain OCRM radio equipment.


Ensures the safety of the building or establishment from fire, flood and other hazard.


Initiate an active campaign on safety measures in the building.


Prepare pertinent records and reports and immediate corrective action to address any safety hazards or security issues.


Develop staff development and cross-training programs that ensure continuity of service and internal training opportunities.

Work with management regarding risk-management, safety and security concerns. Coordinate with the upper management on work issues.


Trains and ensure all staff, visitors and students are aware of and comply with company, government, and policies, procedures, and regulations.

Education and/or Experience                                             

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
