Worship – Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and Worship team to create compelling and inspiring worship services through the selection of praise songs, special music and professionally choreographed service composition. Lead by musical
example in all primary services of the Church including performance leadership of the Praise Team and inspiring others to lead.
Musical Groups – Coordinate membership, leadership, composition selection, rehearsal and schedules of musical groups of the Church including, but not limited to, the Praise Team, adult, youth and special choral and instrumental groups and
church camps. Assure all musical groups of the Church contribute to the inspirational service themes of the Senior Pastor.
Development of Disciples – Provide encouraging and uplifting coaching, development and training to all musicians of the Church. Invite and engage people of faith with musical and performing arts talents into the ministries of the Church.
Maintain written role descriptions and provide training for all of the volunteer activities related to worship services.
Technology – Create a sophisticated audio/video worship experience and provide a scripted format for Technology volunteers to follow during worship. Collaborate with other leaders of the Church to optimize audio/video equipment selection
and maintenance. Develop an annual plan and budget to assure continuous enhancement of services and other worship products. (Ex. CDs for shut-ins)
Special Services – Lead the advance planning of worship experiences related to the major events of the Church calendar including, but not limited to, Advent, Christmas, Holy Week, Easter and Tabernacle Sunday. Coordinate support for music
and technology for weddings, funerals and memorial services from time to time as needed.
Other Responsibilities – Search out new music to enhance worship. Acquire and manage the music library of the Church. Assure compliance with copyright and license laws. Serve as an advisor and advocate for the other ministries and ministers
of the Church. Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Senior Pastor.
Reporting Relationship - The Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts reports to the Senior Pastor of the Church for routine instruction and professional development. The Staff Parish Relations Committee is the supervisory body with respect to
all employees of the Church.
