Summary Directs financial activities of an organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains and updates corporate accounting policies and procedures to reflect best practices.
Completes monthly accounting close of the corporate financial statements and prepares the month end entries and reconciliations for review with the CFO.
Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and cash flow based on actual vs. budget.
Works with EMR Database and billing company on medical insurance aging and reconciliation to Great Plains.
Assists in preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
Oversees the cash collection and disbursement of each of the entities and ensures that polices & procedures are followed.
Stays up to date with current GAAP and best practices for accounting procedures to implement within each of the companies.
Prepares for and supervises the audits of company's accounts. These include an annual financial audit, an A-133 government audit, contract audits as stipulated in each contract and county audits as we are notified.
Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
Manages relations with banks and other financial institutions
Manages three employees in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable

Education and/or Experience
Master's degree (M. A.) in Accounting or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information
and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
