management and is looking for a uniquely qualified applicant to join the team as
an Insurance Specialist.
The Insurance Specialist will provide primary support of the insurance claims process and the insurance underwriting renewal processes (excluding Health and Welfare plans). This includes:
Supporting insurance underwriting renewal processes; facilitating and maintaining records of insurance claims submissions to carriers; providing support to Enterprise Risk Management team with respect to all other financial & compliance matters impacting
the department; reviewing monthly Worker’s Comp and General Liability loss triangles and charge-out reports and conducting analysis of claims activity to identify workplace and premises safety issues; reviewing quarterly analysis of all premiums and claims;
supporting risk assessments with a focus on operational and financial exposures; and working collaboratively for post loss strategies. Light domestic travel is anticipated for professional development and vendor networking.
In addition, while the team grows, the Insurance Specialist will assist in other administrative functions including: planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel as well as handle other team related document management functions.
A bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university with emphasis on Finance or Corporate Risk Management; three to five years of progressive experience in Finance/ Corporate Risk Management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
is required. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
Must maintain a personal relationship with and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
