Education required: Bachelor's degree in music or commensurate experience
Experience required: Leading in a similar capacity; advanced skills in piano and/or guitar; voice.
This ministry position requires a genuine heart for God and for people, and a passion to lead others in worship of God through contemporary music for both adults and youth. We desire effecient communication skills, gifted leadership with existing adult
and youth praise teams, direction of weekly rehearsals, leading weekly praise services and special events, and attending weekly staff meetings.
We are looking for someone with creativity to help lead a vision for our future. It is a full time position focusing primarily on contemporary music ministry, however it will also incorporate other ministry assistance with high school and junior high youth.
(possibilities include: youth ministry, young adult ministry, children's music ministry or other)
Lead praise team of volunteer instrumentalists and vocalists for a contemporary worship service on Sunday morning with a weekday evening rehearsal. Includes selection of music in coordination with pastor’s message, recruitment and guidance of volunteers,
and management of music, audio, and computer/visuals tech equipment.
Lead a “youth” praise team (of volunteer band and singers) for a youth worship service on Wednesday evenings, with an additional evening rehearsal. Includes selection of music in coordination with Director of Youth message, recruitment and guidance of volunteers,
and some management of music, audio, and computer/visuals tech equipment.
Lead some special worship services related to Christmas, Easter, revivals, weddings, funerals, etc.
General coordination with traditional music leader for special events, mutual support, and collegiality.
