This position supports the Wycliffe USA IT Project Office and Software Development Group (SDG). In this position, you will evaluate and test commercial or modified off-the-shelf (COTS, MOTS) as well as custom systems and applications to verify functionality and performance relative to acceptance criteria. Those criteria are defined by the business and technology needs established by the Project Office and the SDG in collaboration with Wycliffe USA and other Wycliffe business or operational domains, and they characterize the information system and application solutions for those domains. You will be responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and acceptability of those solutions for the business or operational domains, including system and application integration and regression, testing and stability.

To qualify for this position, you must have EITHER a
Bachelors, Associates, or technical degree in computer science, computer technology, or related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience, with a minimum of one year of experience as a quality assurance analyst, engineer, or similar position, preferably in a large MIS environment. Position Description:
This position supports the Wycliffe USA IT Project Office and Software Development Group (SDG). The QA Analyst evaluates and tests commercial or modified off-the-shelf (COTS, MOTS) as well as custom systems and applications to verify functionality and performance relative to acceptance criteria. Those criteria are defined by the business and technology needs, requirements, specifications, and standards established by the Project Office and the SDG in collaboration with Wycliffe USA and other Wycliffe business or operational domains, and they characterize the information system and application solutions for those domains. The QA Analyst is assigned the role and responsibility of ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and acceptability of those solutions for the business or operational domains, including system and application integration and regression testing and stability.

Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Project Office, the SDG, and Wycliffe organizational units to define requirements, specifications, standards, and acceptance criteria for system and application solutions, including the identification, evaluation, and selection of vendor products when applicable.
Design, develop, and document use cases, test scripts, test data, benchmarks, etc. for manual and automated testing and evaluation of systems and applications relative to acceptance criteria based on business and technology needs, requirements, specifications, and standards.
Identify, document, and analyze system or program defects, missing or limited functionality, errors or inconsistencies in end-user presentation or interface design, ease of use, program logic or control, integration with other systems or applications, data content, format, or manipulation, etc.
Install, administer, and apply automated testing tools, systems, and applications for deployment of use cases, test scripts, etc., as needed to perform the QA Analysts role and responsibilities, and coordinate testing activities and sessions involving end-users, other staff, third-parties, etc.
Communicate QA outcomes and test results to solution stakeholders through participation in project team and departmental meetings, QA and testing documentation and reports, as an ongoing activity applicable to all solutions, whether in development or in production.
Assist other IT groups (Project Office, SDG, Help Desk, PC Support) with end-user and business or operational domain support before, during, and after planning, deployment, and production use of IT system and application solutions.

Position KSA Competency:
KSA #1 - Knowledge: experience and expertise in the manual and automated testing of hardware and software computer systems and applications, including the development, documentation, and implementation of use cases, test scripts, etc.
KSA #2 - Knowledge: experience and expertise in the use of test design tools, GUI test drivers, load and performance testing tools, bundled tool suites, change and configuration management tools, and static and dynamic analysis tools, etc.
KSA #3 - Skill: advanced or intermediate-level user of MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) and web and internet browsers and e-mail software (MS Internet Explorer, Lotus Notes, Outlook, etc.), and MS Project or comparable project management software.
KSA #4 - Skill: clear and effective verbal and written communication skills, especially for purposes of documenting and communicating QA and testing processes, procedures, policies, and requirements, and related technical and operational strategy, planning, and analysis material.
KSA #5 - Skill: strong analytical and problem-solving skills including ability to draw conclusions based on the best available information, to build consensus supporting those conclusions, and to develop and implement action plans guided by them.
KSA #6 - Attitude: positive, optimistic, technical services perspective, focus, and discipline, with prevailing view toward successfully fulfilling the technical and operational needs of the 'customers of the Wycliffe USA IT Project Office.
KSA #7 - Attitude: desire and ability to support corporate Biblical and religious goals and participate in regular work related spiritual activities without mental reservation.
