In this position, you will work with Microsoft technologies including Visual Basic, ASP,.NET, and SQL, to create and maintain web site applications, and to integrate various server applications and E-commerce technology.
To qualify for this position, you must have either a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
You must have a minimum 3 years experience in software development. Also, must be eligible to work in the US. Here at Wycliffe we welcome your partnership and hope that through it we will be able to see Bible translation in progress in every language that needs it by the year 2025! This is possible only with the aid of information technology. Without it, it is estimated that it will take 150 years to begin Bible translation in every language that needs it. Will work with Microsoft technologies including Visual Basic, ASP,.NET, and SQL. A potential developer must work well in a team oriented environment, have good communication skills and must be a "self starter". This is a great opportunity to create and maintain web site applications, integration to various server applications and E-commerce technology.
1.Work closely with customers and/or Account Executive at the design stage to answer questions.
2.Convert project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to to production code.
3.Problem-resolution capabilities, deadline oriented, detailed, and customer focused.
4.Develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.
5.Communicate professionally with clients and management both verbally and in writing, and work in a strong team environment.
6.Advising the client on the categories and information needed to construct the site/ application;
8.Working closely with other programmers to communicate to remote servers/databases.
9.Help Web Design/Graphic artist with advance level code.
10.Testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions;
11.Uploading the web site on to the Internet, deploy software to client;
12.Assesses new standards, technologies and trends, and formulates strategies and plans for future enhancement of web sites and applications.
13.Design and implement database structures with SQL and Access.
Position KSA Competency:
Good oral and written skills for effective communication
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions, and percentages
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to understand and interpret complex data
Experience in analysis of complex functions, procedures, and problems to find effective solution.
