In this position, you will lead the technical team responsible for developing corporate Internet and Intranet applications for Wycliffe departments to support the ministry needs of Wycliffe USA. This involves oversight of the web development group for in-house web application development, commercial off-the-shelf application implementation, and corporate web-based applications.
To qualify for this position, you must have work experience using information management, software engineering, quality assurance and project management principles, processes, and practices. You must have the ability to effectively manage a staff and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of management.

Assists the Director of Applications Development by leading the technical team responsible for developing corporate Internet and Intranet applications for Wycliffe departments to support the ministry needs of Wycliffe USA.
Oversee the web development group for in-house web application development, commercial off-the-shelf application implementation, and corporate web-based applications.
Recruit, train, and supervise staff for web-based development.
Implement corporate plans to provide a functional and flexible web-based applications infrastructure to support ministry needs.
Collaborates with partners in the development of systems for use by Wycliffe USA and its partners.
Works with business functional areas to jointly develop needed web application systems.
Manages the technical aspects of web applications.
Participates in the development of the Wycliffe USA (corporate) IT strategic plan.
Collaborates with departments to ensure that the corporate IT plan supports web application needs, standards and processes.
Develops a change management process to ensure appropriate use of technology.
Develops strategies to provide reliable and adequate web support.
Provide web-based applications support to enable Wycliffe USA to provide timely, accurate and relevant information concerning the needs and progress of Bible translation worldwide
Support the Communications Department in the development and maintenance of the corporate web site. Communications will be responsible for content and IT will be responsible for technology.
Evaluates technology and applications that can contribute to the increased effectiveness and efficiency of the Wycliffe ministry and its partners.
Shares vision, maintains motivation and encourages involvement in the Bible translation movement, especially in the IT area.
Provide regular reporting of work results and impact.
Participates in regular work related spiritual activities without mental reservation.
