Job Description:

Director of Publishing for The Center for Christian Business Ethics 
Responsibilities include selection, design, production, marketing and distribution of clients/authors works into books and eBooks along with managing the Centers content and publications. Handling the marketing and sales of clients and Center books.

 

Applicant should have:
Excellent grammar and spelling skills
An eye for detail and be very accurate in their work
Imagination and good visual/design sense
Good IT skills, including knowledge of word processing and design programs (Adobe Creative Suite)
Ability to convert books into .epub and .mobi files (ebooks)
Leadership skills, self motivated and the ability to work independently
Strong communication skills
Marketing Skills
Proficiency in handling Social Media platforms

 

Duties Include:
Bringing clients work from manuscript to press
Copy-editing and proofreading, ensuring that material is clear and consistent, complete and credible, and that text is well written, grammatically correct and accessible.
Typesetting and designing layout (Adobe InDesign)
Working with clients one-on-one, contacting regularly by phone and email
Ensuring that publications are prepared on budget and to schedule
Managing book marketing and business activities
Handling client invoicing
Management of online systems
Providing Center a divisional monthly profit & loss statement
