Job Description:
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Process payments of federal, state, and local income tax to the proper revenue departments in accordance with various complex regulations ensuring established tax payment deadlines are met; maintain technical records and files of individual state's tax payments and requirements.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: AA degree plus 1-3 years in payroll processing or related administrative functions or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to learn, apply and explain rules and policies related to federal, state and local tax assessment and to reconcile, balance and audit assigned accounts and records. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationship with others, plan and organize work, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Work confidentially with discretion and independently with little direction or supervision. Knowledge of preparation, maintenance, verification and processing of payroll records, financial and statistical record keeping techniques and alpha-numeric filing systems. Operation of normal office equipment, including personal computer, with word processing and spreadsheet software, telephone techniques and etiquette and basic research methods.
