Business/HR/Traffic Manager

 

Salem Communications is the leading U. S. radio broadcaster targeting audiences interested in conservative NewsTalk and Christian and family-themed programming.  We currently have a full time position available for a Full-Time Business/Human Resources/Traffic Manager at our radio station business unit in Little Rock, Arkansas. Summary:

The Business/HR/Traffic Manager must have the ability to interact with all levels of staff.  They must be able to see the bigger picture and prioritize tasks as they arise.  Someone with a keen eye for detail will flourish in this role.

 

The ideal Business Manager is a dedicated, hardworking team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment.  This person must maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of honesty, trustworthiness, integrity and cultural awareness.  They should be friendly, approachable and able to manage others. 

 

Responsibilities:

Contract input and commercial scheduling using the WIDE ORBIT software system

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

Monthly billing

Assist GM with: Monthly financial reconciliation; monthly commissions report; monthly AR aging report/collections; monthly financial reconciliation; quarterly reforecast; and annual budgeting.

Assist managers with any HR related matters

Participate in all new hire interviewing process

Assist new hires with on-line on-boarding paperwork and new hire orientations

Process all termination paperwork.

Maintain all personnel files.

EEO compliance (training provided)

Payroll; Time Card approval, bi-weekly;

Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Requirements:

Must have prior experience in Office Management, HR & AP/AR.

Experience with broadcast traffic/scheduling software a PLUS. 

Prior HIPAA training, payroll and interviewing experience helpful.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Detail-oriented with the discipline and capacity to follow-through on projects.

High School Diploma or equivalent a must.  BA or BS desired.

Must possess the ability to work in what will initially be a “streamlined” operation.
