Job Description: Director of Public Relations
and Funding Development
THIS IS A SELF FUNDED POSITION. THIS POSITION DOES REQUIRE THAT YOU RAISE YOUR OWN SUPPORT.
The Director of Funding Development (DFD) uses funding development tools and techniques to acquire the funding necessary to support the BEE World ministry. The DFD writes the funding proposals and develops relationships with key individuals from foundations and churches. The DFD develops ways to share the BEE World vision so it communicates accurately. The DFD works closely with the Ministry Director to discuss and develop strategies for support development. The DFD meets with the key people in the foundations and churches to build relationships and help them catch the vision of the BEE World ministry. The DFD also trains BEE World staff members on how to raise their own personal support.
Build a list of foundations and other key funding contacts by using funding development tools.
Prepare funding proposals and oversee the submission of those proposals to prospective funding sources.
Travel and meet directly with key individuals and foundation contacts.
Communicate and develop relationships with prospective donors.
Refine the communication of the BEE World vision to prospective donors.
Develop the strategy for funding development for BEE World.
Oversee the design and development of BEE World support-raising materials, including videos, brochures, pamphlets, newsletters, etc.
Train and mentor BEE World staff and prospective staff in the raising of personal support.
Must be an active part of the whole team of BEE World missionaries.
Must participate in the staff conferences and BEE Fellowship functions.
Must have experience in funding development and in writing proposals.
Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and skills in developing new relationships.
Good writing ability.
Exhibit self-confidence in developing relationships with others.
Good understanding of marketing and good promotional skills.
Must be skilled in the use of word processing and the development of PowerPoint presentations.
This person must be a committed, growing Christian with a strong involvement in their local congregation and possess a passion for missions. This person must also exhibit the fruit of the Spirit in all aspects of life and agree with the Doctrinal Statement of BEE World.
BEE World is a faith mission, which means that the person accepting this position must be willing to raise their own personal support. BEE World will provide support systems to aid the candidate, upon acceptance, in knowing how to begin to build their prayer and financial support teams.
