LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention, was established in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1891. It is one of the world's largest providers of Christian products and services, including Bibles, church literature, books, music, audio and video recordings, church supplies, and Internet services through LifeWay.com. The company also owns and operates 165 LifeWay Christian Stores across the nation, as well as two of the largest Christian conference centers in the country - one in Glorieta, NM and the other in Ridgecrest, NC.

 

The Director of LifeWay.com will be a part of the LifeWay Church Resource Division. The LifeWay Church Resources division develops strategies, products, programs, and services that help churches disciple people of all ages. The Director will provide strategic oversight and directional leadership to LifeWay.com. This role is accountable for content and commerce strategies, revenue and traffic growth, and oversight of the .COM infrastructure. This department serves thousands of churches annually. The Director provides the strategic oversight and directional leadership of LifeWay.com.  This role is accountable for content and e-commerce strategies; revenue and traffic growth; and oversight of the .COM infrastructure.

 

The effective Director of LifeWay.com will develop a new content strategy alongside what is already an aggressive commerce engine while continuing to serve individuals well and establish an authoritative voice among church leaders. At minimum, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University is required. SEO/SEM/PPC knowledge and training is a must. A master’s degree in marketing or a related field is preferred. It is expected that the Director will have fifteen years of direct to Church marketing and/or sales experience in the digital space; fifteen years of revenue and people management; fifteen years of ecommerce leadership and implementation; and ten years of SEO, SEM, and PPC experience.

 

Nashville is the capital of the U.S. state of Tennessee and the county seat of Davidson County. It is located on the Cumberland River in the north-central part of the state. The city is a center for the health care, publishing, banking, and transportation industries, and is home to a large number of colleges and universities. It is most notably known as a center of the music industry, earning it the nickname "Music City." Nashville was ranked #3 by CNN last year as a “City Where Startups Thrive,” and also #3 in Travel + Leisure’s “America’s Best Cities.” The city’s friendly locals, good food, affordability, job potential, safety, and cleanliness are often cited factors in ranking Nashville on lists such as “Cities Getting Smarter the Fastest” and “Top 10 Budget Destinations for 2013.”
